On Monday 14th May the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet is coming to St Paul's Cathedral in London to accept the Templeton prize of £1 million in acknowledgement for his exceptional contribution to advancing the world's understanding of spirituality. The whole million pounds will be given away by the Dalai Lama, and he will announce the recipient at the ceremony on Monday at St Paul's.
In June he is visiting the UK, delivering his message of peace and harmony to audiences all over the country.
To celebrate his visit, we have been fortunate to gain the opportunity to host a PREVIEW SCREENING here in Letchworth of a unique documentary. The official launch is in London in June.
The film tells the story of the Dalai Lama’s previous visit to the UK, sharing his timeless and universal message with the West.
The film is called "THE ROAD TO PEACE, Ancient Wisdom of the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet",
The documentary shows his unique blend of compassion, wisdom and humour, and his inspiration for us to live in harmony with each other, and with the planet.
People of all creeds are inspired by the Dalai Lama's message.
The documentary was produced and directed by LEON STUPARICH, an independent documentary film maker working for TV, Channel 4, BBC etc, and LEON will be available on the night to answer questions.
The VENUE is MRS HOWARD HALL, IN LETCHWORTH, on Tues May 22nd, arrive 7.15 for 7.30 pm start. TICKETS COST £10 and you can bring a friend along for free. Refreshments are included.
